![]() The Black & White Villages Tour ![]() After travelling through the Herefordshire countryside you will meet your guide on the outskirts of Leominster for this journey through some of England's most attractive and interesting villages. A short, guided tour of Leominster on your coach will start things off and then you will travel towards the village of Dilwyn. On the way we plan to call at a creamery where refreshment facilities are provided. On arrival in Dilwyn you will see the village green surrounded by black and white cottages so typical of the Herefordshire villages. Moving on you will see a former workhouse before arriving in Weobley, founded on the medieval wool trade and awarded 'Village of the Year' in 1999. Weobley has been extensively used as a location for feature films including, most recently 'Unconditional Love' starring Cathy Bates and Rupert Everett. You will then visit other beautiful villages in the area. Lunch will be taken in Kington, one of Herefordshire's five market towns and named for King Edward the Confessor. Your guide will give you a history of the town to enable you to indulge in some private exploration if the fancy takes you. After lunch you will tour a number of other villages on the way to Pembridge. Here Herefordshire's fame for cider production is not forgotten and you will visit a traditional cider mill where fine organic cider and perry is made. There are refreshment facilities here, your last stop before returning to Leominster.
